A visit to CHEMPARK: Here’s what happens
Log in first
To ensure that the formalities can be dealt with promptly, we recommend booking your visit in advance. This will speed up the process and keep waiting times to a minimum.
Access
You should allow approximately 30 minutes before your visit to arrive at the visitors’ reception at the relevant site. A valid official identity document is required for identity verification. Further details are set out in the access procedure.
Visitors should familiarise themselves in advance with the access requirements and security rules.
Stay
A shuttle service is provided to take visitors to their appointment. Access by private car is only permitted in a few exceptional cases, such as when transporting bulky samples.
Exit
After the visit, the visitor pass must be returned. It can be handed in on the shuttle bus or at the central visitor reception.

Who counts as a visitor?
Visitors are non-CHEMPARK personnel who – on a one-off or occasional basis – visit a company within CHEMPARK at the invitation of a person permanently based at CHEMPARK. Persons holding a valid CHEMPARK staff pass are considered to be permanently based at CHEMPARK. Visitors do not receive any remuneration or other financial compensation for their stay at CHEMPARK and do not carry out any work for a company at CHEMPARK in return for payment. They must be accompanied at all times by a CHEMPARK employee whilst on the CHEMPARK site until they leave the premises. Visitors are issued with a visitor pass for the duration of their stay (maximum 5 working days in a calendar week) and are entitled to use the visitor transport service.
Who is allowed to receive visitors?
Visitors are employees of a company based on the CHEMPARK site (‘CHEMPARK Partner’ or ‘CHEMPARK Service Partner’) who hold a valid CHEMPARK pass and are authorised by their organisation to invite and receive visitors.
How much lead time should I allow for?
Please arrive a little ahead of time. You should allow 30 minutes to complete the registration formalities and for the shuttle transfer from the Central Visitor Reception to your host. It usually takes less time than that.
